As revealed in a study published in Nature Chemical Biology, the AI model was trained and deployed to analyze 6,680 unexplored compounds, which resulted in the discovery of nine potential antibiotics, including one named abaucin. Subsequent testing on a wound infection model in mice showed abaucin effectively suppressing the infection, thereby marking a promising stride in the use of machine learning for antibiotic discovery.\\n
