E44 Abi: Born for mountain life
Abi used to hate running. In fact, she'd go as far as say loathe. When she was a kid, she hid behind trees to get out of it. Fast-forward 17 years, and after making it through High School, Uni and three years in London fairly unscathed, she moved to Fernie BC. She moved there for one winter to ski, and discovered a whole lot more – and ironically, became hooked on running. She now says her friends and family back home are in shock, and she is pretty sure her mother still to this day thinks she's in some sort of endurance cult. Once she discovered trail races, she came in 1st place in her first 6 races.
