Noel is chartered psychologist, a lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Ulster University, and a Researcher on the psychology of endurance performance.The premise of the book is two-fold. First, successful athletes have a toolkit of mental strategies that help them to perform at their best. Second, once learned, these techniques can be adapted to overcome challenges in everyday life.\\xa0As a runner, Noel has completed more than 30 marathons and ultramarathons, including Dublin, Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Ultra marathons Marathon des Sables\\xa0and the\\xa0Kerry Way Ultra\\xa0(200km).
