Why you shouldn't say 그녀 for “she” in Korean

You often see the words 그 and 그녀 used to refer to “he” and “she” respectively, but that is only in written text. If you say 그 or 그녀 in spoken Korean, you will sound very unnatural or too formal or poetic. Then how DO you actually talk about someone as “he” or “she” in Korean? You use the person’s name or title.
