My mom did the best with what she had and she really taught me a beautiful lesson that I didn\'t realize was so important until later when I noticed that a lot of people around me had a lot of fear around using their best and for me I was like this is just what we do.

There was a level of expectation as to how you treated each other and now I realize it\'s one of the things that I appreciate about the French culture.\\xa0 I didn\'t realize it at the time but ma\'am and sir come from the French madame and monsieur.\\xa0 There is a level of civility and respect for one another and how you communicate and how you address people, how you talk and I think that is a beautiful thing. Quite honestly, it\'s missing in a large portion of our society today.
