b'Do you sometimes wonder if you should be happier than you are? Does it seem like everyone else is having a better life experience than you are?\\n\\nThe truth is, we ALL struggle.\\n\\nEven if you are beautiful and have a billion dollars... all humans struggle.\\n\\nFor me (and probably for you too), it\'s daily.\\n\\nThinking that we "should" be happier, will NEVER help us to FEEL happier.\\n\\nIn fact, believing that feels TERRIBLE, like something is wrong. It\'s like we have been robbed of our ability to feel happy or that our happiness is outside of our control. Not good, and not true.\\n\\nThree things to understand, that I find really helpful when I\'m curled in a ball crying from negative emotion:\\n\\n 1. Negative emotion doesn\'t mean anything about me is wrong or flawed. It\'s simply a physiological response in my body from thoughts (often triggered by something unconscious).\\n\\n2. Negative emotion is part of the plan and part of the process of life. Growing and stretching doesn\'t feel good, but it\'s part of the deal if we are going to progress. We are designed to handle it.\\n\\n3. As soon as I\'m done physically processing the emotion, I can redirect my mind to thoughts that are useful. This is one way I practice kindness toward myself (by allowing negative emotion when needed, not beating myself up over it or making it mean anything painful, and then choosing what I really want to think and feel).\\n\\nTo get help with your struggles, book a free session with me!\\n\\nhttps://mycoachmichelle.as.me/\\n\\n--- \\n\\nSend in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michelle48/message'
