Be inspired and mentally prepared in 2020: Jo Moseley and Helen Davis

Published: Dec. 27, 2019, 5 a.m.

This a bumper episode featuring interviews with the first woman to SUP coast to coast across England, Jo Moseley and leading Sports Psychologist Helen Davis to give you the inspiration and tools you need to take on a challenge and succeed in 2020.

Jo discovered a love for SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) after turning 50 and in 2019, at the age of 54, she became the first woman to paddleboard from the West to the East coast of England. Not only that, but she also picked up litter along the way to highlight the amount of rubbish going into the sea from our inland waterways.

In this interview, Jo Moseley talks about:

*Overcoming self-doubt during her adventure

*Learning to believe in herself and back herself.

*Why she believes you should just try something, regardless of the outcome

Sports Psychologist Helen Davis has worked with top British swimmers and cyclists as well as multiple Ironman champion Lucy Gossage and Age Group Ironman World Champion Gill Fullen, amongst others.

Helen discusses:

*Goal setting

*Effective thinking, dealing with pre-race nerves

*Concrete examples to help you develop your confidence.
