Notes To Self Segment - 002: I’m Not Smart Enough

Published: Nov. 20, 2019, 1 p.m.

You're afraid to take your first step
You feel like you can't make a difference
You feel like you're not as smart as others around you

Can you relate to any of these limiting beliefs?

Welcome to the 2nd episode of “Notes To Self”, a segment of Found Family Podcast. “Notes To Self” are literally notes that I’ve written to myself on the Notes app on my iPhone where I admit my worst fears, talk about my triggers, and word vomit limiting beliefs as well as life-changing revelations on my recovery journey. Get ready to REAL talk, girl. Coz shit’s about to get real.

Notes To Self on January 8, 2017 says:
"I don't have enough information to share with others. I don't have a PHD or a Masters or years of experience in this field. Holding me back that I don't know how to share or what's the right way to share or if I have enough background to share. Being overwhelmed with step 1. What is step 0? Then I get frustrated and overwhelmed to even begin a project that then I procrastinate and run away from myself and ignore it all"

(Yes, I recognize that note isn't proper grammar LOL)

Here are some of the things we'll soul chat about today:

  • Learning how to take your first step by sharing your own personal experiences
  • Pushing through the limiting belief of "not enough"
  • Recognizing that we have the ability to learn new things and that feeling "lack" in an area is only temporary
