Why the word NO causes so much stress (and how to change it!)

Many years ago I started working on setting boundaries. And what I realized while I was struggling with WHY it was so hard was that it wasn\'t the boundaries themselves that were hard, it was the relationship I had with the word NO.

I realized that I was afraid to SAY no...I didn\'t want to let anyone down, saying no to things was selfish.

But I was ALSO afraid to HEAR no...it meant rejection, it meant I was putting someone else in a difficult situation.

In today\'s episode I share four of the mindset shifts that I\'ve worked on over the years to redefine my relationship with the word no.

As a recovering people pleaser it doesn\'t come naturally to me, but learning how to change my thinking has allowed me to set better boundaries and take excellent care of myself.
