BBR #34: Decide How You Want to Feel

Today's episode is inspired by\\xa0 some recent conversations and a grumpy morning.

Deciding how you want your day to go from the moment you wake up will help you steer in that direction. If you're leaving everything up in the air and waiting to see what happens you're probably not going to get what you want.

Because of the whole survival thing your brain is constantly looking for threat which leads to an automatic negative bias. If you're not intentional about adding something else to focus on that's where your head is going to\\xa0 be spending its time.

Decide what you want and be intentional about creating that feeling. I'm not talking about pretending your not feeling what you are or ignoring how you are feeling because that's not helpful at all.

What I am saying is be intentional about filling your time and space with the people, places, and things that bring you joy and make you feel inspired or whatever other feelings you're wanting to feel.\\xa0 This is the IG post I made that talks about this very thing.\\xa0

The best way to do this is check in with yourself and recognize what it is that you're currently feeling and ask yourself if that's how you want to be feeling. If the answer is no, then ask yourself how you can create a piece of that feeling for yourself.
