My guest, while growing up, struggled a lot. Both academically and socially. After years of anxiety and bullying, he eventually joined a boxing gym to learn to protect himself.
He immediately fell in love.
Finally, there was something he could be great at. He threw his whole life into the ring and dedicated himself to becoming the greatest boxer he could.
Two years later, in 2008, he won the National Championship and became the #1 Super Heavyweight boxer in the nation.
Today, he is the Winningest Boxer in USA Boxing history, and he hold four Golden Glove Championships, six U.S. Championships, three PAL National Championships, six Ringside Championships, and three Olympic trials. His story was featured in the Netflix Original documentary Counterpunch.\\xa0
