Buckle up. We dig deep into some aspects of life and how this podcast’s future is looking. We also dive into some of the three biggest lies I’ve been telling myself lately.

The real question that it comes up to is, "What is your vision? What is your identity?"

The three big lies we tell ourselves:

Lie #1 - “Your work will not pay off”

My eye-opening experience with playing from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

Your side hustles and all of these other things give you more practice to grow your craft that positions you to succeed in a big way later on.

Look at your life over the last

“What have you changed. What has changed the same? What has stayed the same says a lot about your identity. If you want to change your identity all you need to do is change your habits.”

Lie #2 - “You need to have it all figured out right now.”

The whole thing about life is that it’s different every single day.

Bill Gates didn’t have it all figured out when he got started.

What’s important is the process and not so much the product.

Lie #3 – “You’re not capable”

I started this success spiral” (not my term) by doing some push-ups and

Hold on to the moments that helped you truly see your skills.

Note: The only exception to what I said about me only playing video games on Friday and Saturday was last night. That was more because it was Memorial Day and I was kind of playing to plan some games on Memorial Day anyway.

Thoughts on taking more responsibility for your life

You need to face your struggles. If you’re willing to be honest with yourself you can use that to your advantage.

My thoughts on what “the perfect storm” is. Your previous mistakes have compounded to the point where it gets into all of these other parts of your life.

Be careful what you pay attention to and how you talk to yourself because these things really contribute to your mental health.

Just as there are things that, like termites if we leave unchecked they will erode our happiness there are also things that will build us up in a big way over time. It’s like how ants act when they take over a picnic. Little by little it all adds up, and you start to make a real impact you are proud of. This is of course putting you as the ant and not the picnicker.

No matter where you were planted you can chose to be exposed to an environment that helps you grow and become the best version of yourself.

A lot of your biggest struggles will lead to your biggest opportunities.

Quotes:

You’re getting experience right now through everything you’re doing.

“What have you changed. What has changed the same? What has stayed the same says a lot about your identity. If you want to change your identity all you need to do is change your habits.”

What’s important right now is not the struggle but how you use this struggle to help you grow in the future.

“Keep in mind the things that have set you apart in the past because those are often the things that will set you apart in the future.”

“If you’re struggling with any of these lies I’d encourage you to remember that you’re more than your current struggles and you will learn from this. The question is is when you’ll learn from this.
