The Changing World of Sports Journalism
With the advent of social media and with the ease of setting up one’s own blog, journalism – and I use the term loosely, has changed dramatically. There was a time when a bachelor of arts in journalism from a major university was a prerequisite to landing a job as a sports reporter or columnist for a local paper. Today, the real journalists compete with average Joe’s who slap up a basic blog and opine on the town’s favorite teams.
