Triska Hamid is a journalist, editor and entrepreneur. Born in Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, she is a survivor of the First Gulf War having fled with her family to Iran, mostly on foot. She grew up as an asylum seeker in the UK where she graduated from Oxford University. Today, Triska is the editorial director at Wamda and is also the founder of London-based Mokaya Brownies, the company behind the most awarded brownies in the UK.
