It's been a tense week for Murray city officials. A Wednesday mediating session between the city and firefighters who sued for years of overtime back pay produced a settlement agreement of $350,000 plus contributions to the Kentucky Retirement System and FICA. Thursday the council voted to accept the terms of the agreement, then the personnel/finance committee immediately entered into a marathon budget meeting.
