In Depression-era Alabama, attorney Atticus Finch is appointed by the court to defend Tom Robinson, an African-American man accused of rape. In the 50 years since its publication, Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird has been called a story of dignity and tolerance. Friday, Murray's Playhouse in the Park opens a stage production of Mockingbird. Director Don Fleming and the young Brynn Jones, who plays the key role of Scout Finch, joined Jacque Day in the studio for this conversation.
