In the last year the city of Murray has experienced the passing of sitting Mayor Tom Rushing, the appointment of replacement Mayor Danny Hudspeth and reports that the city might face a 1.1 million dollar shortfall in the next fiscal year. Mayor Hudspeth is not seeking another term which leaves some significant issues to tackle for the next person to steer the city. Three city councilmen seek the post.
