Paducah's J.D. Wilkes is the front-man for the Legendary Shack Shakers, a band whose Southern Gothic sound has graced a Geico gecko commercial and an HBO show. The 38-year-old is a Kentucky Colonel, visual artist and award-winning filmmaker whose stage presence is, well, you just have to experience it for yourself. Jacque Day spent some time with Wilkes and his wife Jessica at their home, where Wilkes discusses the Shack Shakers and the band he formed with Jessica, the Dirt Daubers.
