Last month, the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine published a landmark study about mortality patterns among Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant workers. The study, the first of its kind about the Paducah plant, revealed a slightly higher death rate than the national average from certain cancers. Jacque Day spoke with the principal investigator and a seasoned plant worker to get a better understanding of the findings, what they reveal, and where they fall short.
