A local Kentucky history book is nothing new . . . but a history book by a 12-year-old? Darren Shrum recently self-published A Kid's Discovery of His Hometown, an 84-page book about Hopkinsville. The book highlights famous historical landmarks, events, and people. Shrum received editing assistance and chauffeuring from his dad, also named Darren. Angela Hatton sat down to talk with the Shrums about researching and writing about Hopkinsville.
