The documentary "The Big Uneasy" plays this weekend at Paducah's Maiden Alley Cinema. The film attempts to correct the prevailing narrative of what happened to New Orleans in August 2005 when Hurricane Katrina struck, killing 18 hundred people in seven states, almost 16 hundred in Louisiana alone. Rather than being simply a natural disaster, "The Big Uneasy" reveals the human hand in the devastation. New Orleans transplant, actor, writer, and filmmaker Harry Shearer directs the film.
