Commonwealth Middle College began its first semester this past week, on the campus of West Kentucky Community and Technical College, with 50 high school students from McCracken and Marshall counties. The program allows the young people a chance to get a head start in higher education while working toward their high school diploma. Prior to the start of classes, the college held an open house as a kind of orientation, not only for students and parents, but also for the community they'll serve.
