This week on the Kentucky Civil War Dispatch, as we know, Federals and Confederates were implacable foes during the conflict. But they did deal with each other off the battlefield from time to time, and did so with civility. They even occasionally forged friendships across the lines. We look at one such relationship, established after the Battle of Belmont.
