End of the Meet Wrap-up - Episode #49
Emerald Downs 2021 live racing season concluded last Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25-26 with plenty of on-track drama. Races were decided among leading owner, trainer and jockey which led to announcements of all season ending award winners. The top prize went to Top Executive, named Horse of the Meeting after going undefeated in three starts. He won three stakes and was the leading money earner.
Tom Wenzel is featured guest, he the trainer of Gottstein Futurity hero Midnight Mojo. Wenzel speaks to the development of Midnight Mojo, owned by Washington Thoroughbred Hall of Fame inductee George Todaro. Wenzel's been involved in many of the track's top moments with a client list that also includes Ron Crockett, Jerre Paxton, Karl Krieg and Dave and Jill Heerensperger.
