This character became an American icon, and became a template for western heroes for years to come.\\n\\nThe Lone Ranger spawned a radio series totaling almost 3000 episodes, several books, a hit television show, and many movies and parodies that outright flattered the character, while at the same time, creating a template for masked heroes.
