b'Bacon Swirls\\n\\nIngredients:\\n\\n6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled\\n\\n1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained and chopped\\n\\n\\xbc cup mayonnaise or salad dressing\\n\\n\\xbd teaspoon garlic powder\\n\\n1 (8 ounce) can refrigerator crescent dinner rolls\\n\\n2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened\\n\\n1 egg white, lightly beaten\\n\\nPoppy seed\\n\\nCooking Instructions:\\n\\nCombine bacon, mushrooms, mayonnaise and garlic powder; stir well and set aside. \\n\\nSeparate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; press perforations to seal. \\n\\nSpread one-fourth of cream cheese over each dough rectangle, leaving 1/4 inch margin on one long side and no margin on other sides. \\n\\nSpread one-fourth of bacon mixture evenly over cream cheese. Roll dough, jelly roll fashion, starting at long sides with filling spread to edge, pinch seams to seal. Cut rolls into \\xbd inch slices. \\n\\nPlace, cut sides down, on a lightly greased baking sheet. \\n\\nBrush each slice with egg white and sprinkle with poppy seed. \\n\\nBake in a 375 degree oven for 9 minutes, or until lightly browned. \\n\\nServe warm.\\n\\nMakes 3 dozen.\\n\\nTips for the Kitchen:\\n\\nPeeling Thin Skinned Fruits:\\n\\n* Refrigerate tomatoes. Hold tomato firmly and scrape with a paring knife from the bottom to the top several times. Prick the skin with the point of a knife. The peeling will remove easily.\\n\\n* Place thin-skinned fruits into a bowl, cover with boiling water and let set for 1 minute. Peel with a paring knife.\\n\\n* Spear the fruit on a fork and hold over a gas flame until the skin cracks.
