We at WYE took it a different way and (gasp) landed in the middle, looking at what many folks have always been asking: Can Law Enforcement be better?

Short answer? Yes. But how? This week Justin sits Jason down and tells him "OK, I've defunded the Police, now rebuild it from scratch. What stays, what goes, what gets highlighted? Go."

What follows is a discussion including:

• Introducing efficiency and simplicity into reporting
• More action from law makers to hold those arrested accountable instead of issuing a citation
• Expanding capabilities and staffing of "Community Aides" for non injury collisions, noise complaints and other minor issues
• A better definition of "high level of service" some bureaucrats seem to think means lights and sirens and a gun to every single complaint.
