For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. Think about some of the reasons the Lord is our hope. I personally look at how He is with us each day, that He promises deliverance from sin and death, and that He loves us dearly. The greatest evidence of His love for us is that He has made a way for us to have a relationship with Him through Jesus. There was no way that we could know God unless our sins were atoned for once and for all, so Jesus made a way.
