Despatches From The Front: Changing Colombia

Published: Sept. 13, 2016, 3:20 p.m.

Join Despatches from the Front as we hear from Chris, Lawrence and Siobhan as they describe their experiences of living in Colombia, a country with a much maligned reputation. On the surface drugs, violence and crime, interspersed with suspect and often malevolent Western political agendas, underneath more stable and benevolent cultures, including centuries old communities such as the Wayuu (pronounced Wajoo), with their unique and well stablished way of life. It is at this level that Chris, Lawrence and Siobhan have gained a fascinating insight into the ways in which these cultures are now under a sophisticated and far more dangerous attack than drugs and crime.

The attack is 'reframing' of the ancient cultures and indeed the very identity of the people themselves. Their new antagonists are polite, well spoken and well funded professionals who their own agenda. Their delivery is smooth and reassuring - for they are only there to help.

Listen as these three highly knowledgeable and perceptive people warn of the dangerous 'change' agenda and identify those behind it. Why listen in? Because what is happening in Colombia has been at work in Western society for many years.
