It has been called “computer generated porn” in North Carolina, and on this week’s episode of “Tying It Together With Tim Boyum,” we are tackling the past, present and future of redistricting.

In the coming weeks, lawmakers will draw political maps that will determine who you vote for in elections for the next decade.  It's a complicated process few know much about, but it's one of the most important things lawmakers will ever do in their career.

Lucky for you, we have found a way for it to be informative and, at times, hilarious.

We are joined by Dr. Michael Bitzer, a political scientist at Catawba College, who just released a book on the topic.  Dr. Chris Cooper, from Western Carolina University, who has studied it extensively.  Finally, Jim Blaine, a former chief of staff for Senate leader Phil Berger and someone who has been in the room when these maps are drawn.  Wait until you hear some of his impressions of well known lawmakers!
