So UConn's surprise victory set back the Orange not just for 2020-21, it also gives fresh programs a recruiting lineage to carry to ensuing class. Dan Hurley, Mike Hopkins and others began long-term programs in recent years. No matter how long Boeheim coaches, they're behind those teams in establishing what's next. Whether that's good or bad depends on expectations. Boeheim and company can and will recruit strong classes of undervalued talent. WIthout a Jackson though, it's reasonable to question if there will be one last run at a title in this Boeheim era.
