Today we take a look at the updated qualifying standards for the 2023 World Championship in Budapest. World Athletics increased their standards dramatically, and people are not happy about it. Earlier this year, World Athletics shared that they want a 50/50 split with qualifying standards and world rankings for future championships so this is nothing new. We also talk about how this decision impacts college athletes and makes it more difficult for them to qualify.
