From Justice of the Peace to U.S. Congressman, he's spent a life in public service, representing the people of Texas’ 9th District.

Today, we spend the whole hour with Representative Al Green.

What has he learned about Houstonians, and about Washington over the years?

What are his thoughts on President Biden, and about our current political divide?

And what about his bill to create a Department of Reconciliation?  And his work toward removing and renaming painful symbols of this country’s past?

We talk with Al Green about his career and causes, and the issues that we need to confront together more than ever as Americans. The Congressman also fields listeners' questions and concerns.

Al Green has served as a Democratic U.S. representative for Texas's 9th congressional district since 2005. The 9th district includes most of southwestern Houston, part of Fort Bend County and most of Missouri City.
