First, we speak with Grammy Award-winning performance artist, activist, and writer Ty Defoe, who joins us to discuss his work as director for Theatre Under the Stars’ production of RENT.

Defoe also shares his insight on the importance of Native American and queer representation in the arts, how this has informed his approach to directing RENT, and how he sees his work having impact for future generations.
