After three weeks of testimony, yesterday’s closing arguments and nearly one full day of deliberation, the 12 jurors in the Derek Chauvin trial had reached a verdict.

We discussed the trial and community reactions with a panel of experts before cutting away to live NPR coverage and the announcement of the verdict, which came shortly after 4pm Central Time.
