TNT ESQ: Episode 19 with Shelley Brown - MINDFULNESS NAKED AND ACCESSIBLE

Published: Feb. 9, 2020, 6 a.m.

Our guest is our #1 TNT fan and supporter - Shelley Brown!

Shelley Brown believes mindfulness is not what we've all been led to believe.

Mindfulness is becoming more and more mainstream, and yet it still gets greeted with the “cringe” factor, gets put in the "too weird for the workplace" basket or worse yet, put in the same category as “chair massage”.

Shelley understands, she too was a "Cringer".  As a former high-octane sales pro and endurance athlete, she was a total skeptic and thought mindfulness was for tea-drinking yogis (not that there's anything wrong with that).  She soon learned the truth and what has become a way of life has now turned into her purpose.

Shelley's mission is to invite leaders to explore this transformative practice in an inclusive and accessible way with the intention to make it “sticky” not "icky"  leading to a sustainable mindful culture.

Rather than a focus on what's often seen as woo-woo, weird approaches, Shelley know it's a practice of rock stars and warriors... a practice that transcends calm...a practice that invites leaders to extend time in the present, to be conscious, to practice real-time self-awareness, to “Walk their Talk”, to lead with accountability, resilience, compassion, openness, equanimity and heart.

Shelley spent decades in the corporate world in national and regional sales management roles in both high-tech and hospitality industries.  Today she remains connected to the corporate world...only now as a Rock Star Mindfulness speaker and workshop facilitator!

Shelley believes this practice of mindfulness helps us to find more joy and show up better for each other.
