Avi and I started our EMS careers at the same time a decade ago. We've seen and experienced lots of change in our agencies and the profession as a whole during that time. Our conversation identifies many of the problems facing EMS providers and firefighters today, addresses why so many are leaving the profession altogether and how those still serving can help themselves so they can better help others who need them.\\xa0
