Here the Beckies chat about children and adults not wearing shoes and socks, how does this relate to power in practice and proprioception.
We look at risk taking and understanding the child's needs and uniqueness. Would you wear your shoes inside your home ?
Why do children need to feel the ground beneath their feet? Why do they need to know what different surfaces feel like ?
What is proprioception, why do children need to know where their bodies begin and end.\\xa0 \\xa0
Is it okay for children to be outside without shoes or wellies?
Is this part of building joy into the child's life ?
The main point is it is a choice !!
How do you give the child the power to extend their own learning through their bodies.
Children must be able to risk assess for themselves and learn how to do this, we use open ended questions to support this as a future life skill.
