Every day we interact with people who are facing an obstacle in their life, and we have the opportunity to be empathetic and adjust to their needs for better communication and connection. If you met my mom, you\\u2019d never know that she\\u2019s actually deaf. \\xa0Today, I have the privilege of interviewing my mom and dad about my mom\\u2019s deafness and how her attitude towards it not only made her a successful wife, mother and nurse but also how her struggles with hearing helped her connect with people in a way only she could.
