This is a story of a woman, her values, her passions and her pivots.

In a world that tells you the most important thing to do is to finish what you start...Cathlyn Melvin's story defies societal norms..\\xa0

On today's episode of The Think Courageously Podcast, I chat with\\xa0 Cathlyn - a pivot Queen!\\xa0

Cathlyn started her career in theatre.\\xa0 She spent a decade being an actor and artistic director. She also co-founded a children's theater company.\\xa0

AND, during her time there she found her love of copywriting.

But, Cathlyn internalized the societal belief that she had no marketable skills.

Enter Imposter Syndrome. Her self-doubt led her to enroll in law school.\\xa0 (Side note... she was given a full ride scholarship to the number six best law school in the U.S).

Her core values and law school experience didn't align she suffered serious depression. After completing her first year in school, Cathlyn listened to her intuition. She left law school and opened her own business...Right Cat Creative an agency providing copywriting, editing and proofreading services.

"I talk about taking a brave leap sideways off the treadmill, because when you're on the treadmill of life, you can't slow down because you're going to get sucked under and you can't turn it off because there's no off button on life until the end for all of us. And so the only way to get off the treadmill is taking this brave leap sideways."-(Cathlyn Melvin)
