In military terms 'A plan fails at the first contact with the enemy'  

Two things I heard Bear Grylls say in an interview recently that resonated with me.   We talk about plans all the time, it's part of the business DNA, however, we are sensible to the approach that a plan isn't fixed and rigid, it's fluid, it's evolving, it changes!   We have to be adaptable to that and acknowledge our progress along the way...we don't all smash through things, most of us are moving forward by stumbling purposefully.   

Gaining experience, confidence, evidence along the way that we can do this!
