Looking to take on a new challenge, family patriarch George McKay coalesces his family around the idea of building a three masted galleon that would accommodate the family and the needs of their daughter Elizabeth with Marfans Syndrome as a floating family compound. The ship evolves into a broader mission to take other handicapped families on accessible adventures but its evolution saw the dissolution of a marriage and the departure of Elizabeth and his three sons from the project after its launch. George McKay continued to pursue the mission with a solitary focus until the ship\\u2019s tragic sinking in a December storm off Nantucket, MA.
