I am not bashful about safe gun handling.\\xa0 There isn\'t room to be because the consequences of an error in safe gun handling\\xa0can be so serious.

We cannot do what we don\'t know. \\xa0Ignorance plays a significant role in accidents with firearms. \\xa0It is why education is so important. \\xa0Gun safety education in particular.

Follow Gun Safety Rules EVERY Time You Handle Guns

Knowing isn\'t enough. \\xa0In addition to knowing gun safety rules you need to be using those same gun safety rules EVERY time you handle guns.

This is where the rubber meets the road. \\xa0It isn\'t enough to know rules and recite rules, you need to put them to use. \\xa0Gun safety rules are for the range, for getting your ccw gun on in the morning, for cleaning your gun when no one else is around, for taking a class, or plinking in the desert.

Your seatbelt can\'t protect you when you don\'t wear it and you lose a layer of safety when you don\'t put gun safety rules into play.
