• Internationally know firearms and self-defense instructor who specializes in the laws surrounding the use of lethal force.
\\n
• He has authored more than 20 books and in excess of 1,000 articles on firearms, combat techniques, self-defense, and legal issues, and has served in an editorial capacity for multiple magazines including:
\\n

Guns Magazine, American Handgunner, Guns & Ammo, Combat Handguns and Gun Week.

\\n
• Since 1995, he has written self-defense and firearms related articles for Backwoods Home Magazine which also makes Mas a prolific blogger.
\\n
• He also has been featured on a segment on the television show Personal Defense TV
\\n
• Ayoob has extensive courtroom experience as a testifying police officer, expert witness, and police prosecutor.
\\n
• Even with all that courtroom experience, he is not an attorney
\\n
• Ayoob is, however, a former Vice Chairman of the Forensic Evidence Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers
\\n
• His published work was cited by the Violence Policy Center in their amicus curiae brief filed with the U.S. Supreme Court in the District of Columbia v. Heller case.
\\n
• Additionally Ayoob filed a declaration in a second amicus brief in this case.
\\n
