428 - What are you willing to die for?

I know the title is a bit dramatic, but it is a concept that I have had spinning around in my head as I have been listening to the latest episode of the Hardcore History Podcast dealing with the Celtic Holocaust.
\\xa0
Between the times of 100 BC and around 50 BC the Celtic people found themselves engaged in a struggle for survival with the Roman empire and Julius Caesar.\\xa0 As individuals and as a whole it seems like they must have had to ask themselves the question, \\u201cWhat are we willing to die for?\\u201d
\\xa0
It isn\\u2019t an easy question or one that very many of us have had to ask ourselves, yet at the same time I can see some striking parallels to the kinds of questions we should be asking ourselves when it comes to personal protection and self-defense.
\\xa0
I don\\u2019t know if any of this will make any sense when you listen to it.\\xa0 Maybe it is just a bunch of illogical drivel.\\xa0 At the same time, the concepts struck me and as I hope to be a better student to both history and to personal protection, it makes sense to me to explore the connections when they seem to appear.
