I have experienced it and I\\u2019m sure you have as well.\\xa0 My emotions, whether good or bad, have at time distracted me from important tasks that need to be dealt with.\\xa0 This experience can range from exciting, to\\xa0 slightly annoying to downright dangerous, depending on the emotions and how we learn to recognize and deal with them.

Understanding that our emotions have an impact on our personal security is the first step to harnessing our emotional power to increase our safety.

At the same time we must understand that our emotions are there for a reason.\\xa0 Emotions can be a very rewarding part of life and at times they can be a tool that can help you to recognize and respond to danger.\\xa0 Develop strategies and skills to that you can maximize the benefits of your emotions.

Realize that at time your emotions may overwhelm you and at those times you may be the most venerable to risks associated with personal protection.\\xa0 As a result, you need to recognize and accept that you may face threats when you are least prepared and least expecting them.
