Mary Sawyer is a monumental person in our community, and it is both astonishing and frustrating how little information is available about a woman who did so much for our city. From helping to create the Women’s Industrial Exchange to donating the money for the original Mary E. Sawyer Auditorium, it is time we give this woman the standing ovation she deserves.
