REP: Arian Foster, Coach Calipari and Michael Wilbon

Published: Oct. 27, 2011, 4:43 p.m.

Guests include Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster, plus University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari skypes in, and “Pardon the Interruption” co-host Michael Wilbon also dials up the program. First up, Arian Foster joins Rich fresh off a dynamite performance in week 7 where he totaled 234 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns versus the Titans. After missing nearly all of the first three games of the 2011 season, Foster seems to back in the 2010 form that garnered him the NFL rushing title. Rich and Foster chat about the Texans chances this year in the AFC as well as the likelihood of Andre Johnson returning in week 8 from a hamstring injury that has had him sidelined for the past few weeks. Undrafted out of Tennessee in 2009, Foster sheds some light on a draft day gaffe that may have caused a certain team in the Pacific Northwest not to call his name in the seventh-round. Next up, the podcast shifts gears a bit as Rich welcomes in the tech savvy head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats when John Calipari skypes in from his office Lexington, KY. A native of Pittsburgh, Coach Cal is a huge Steelers fan and shares some of his favorite memories as a fan. And what better person to impart his wisdom on proper post game handshake etiquette then a college basketball coach where the handshake tradition also takes place after every game. Coach Cal brings his ‘A’ game to the podcast and we‘re looking forward to having back on soon. The podcast rounds out with Michael Wilbon, the co-host of the immensely popular “Pardon the Interruption” that recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Rich and Michael go around the league and Wilbon has some not so flattering comments for the Ravens rather lackluster performance on Monday Night Football this past week versus the Jaguars. It’s a fun show with three great guests. Next week’s lineup is all booked and ready to go as we welcome in the hilarious Adam Sandler in-studio, Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King, and a legend of the broadcast booth as Jim Brockmire makes his triumphant return to the podcast counting down the top plays of October in the NFL. Enjoy and thanks for downloading.
