Evan Whitehead is an educator who has the expertise that connects to students well being, social-emotional learning, differentiation, special education, building communities, equity, and diversity, including cultural competencies and mental health. Evan shared the importance of community building as the foundation for learning and its importance, starting from the beginning of the year. Being vulnerable is an authentic effort for educators. Evan encourages educators to know the students and their families. Taking care of ourselves as teachers are important to be well for our students. Evan has so much to offer about well-being, including the three B's: balance, boundaries, and breaks. We have so much to learn from Evan on equity, empathy, building emotional connections, and intentional efforts to know our students.
