That is what happened when a woman in her early 20s from Uganda traveled to Lakewood High School to talk with kids about what it was like to hide in the jungle to avoid being kidnapped and forced to be a child soldier. The words of this woman, Collines Angewech, moved one 19-year old girl in the audience so much that she decided she wanted to dedicate her life to help children in Uganda. These two women developed a friendship, decided to create a charity, and ten years later this charity continues to make a big impact in the lives of children and families in Uganda.
